New Impulse Rock N' Love!

Wow it's been a while since my last post! 

In between all the exams of last year, working this summer, getting stuff together for uni and then getting swept away in the uni lifestyle, i will admit i've let this blog gather a few cobwebs!

So here I am blowing the metaphorical dust away (in a cute little pinnie and bandana i'd like to imagine) and opening with a review!

I was lucky enough to be sent a brand new Impulse fragrance to try a few weeks ago! Actually it was before I moved to uni, woopsie! BUT, at least this means I've given it a good chance to wow me eh?
*love a good excuse*

Anyway, I've previously spoke about how much I LOVE 'Sweet Smile' so of course I was super excited to try this new one!

I really think Impulse has seriously stepped up their game with their products lately right down to the gorgeous packaging.

I'm terrible at describing scents for someone that worked on a fragrance counter, but Impulse describes this as Amber and Orange Blossom, I can't comment on the orange but the amber is definitely there and it makes this scent so warm and do you know what, one of my guy friends described it as sexy, well I'm not going to hate on that!

Now, I'm sorry guys, but as summer is officially over it's goodbye to warm days out but that means hello to cosy nights in bars with a trusty leather jacket, platform boots and vampy lipstick and let me tell you this scent fits in perfectly.   

I actually chucked it in my bag and that's where it's stayed for the last few weeks and it's so perfect to pull out of my bag on a night out and have a refreshing break from smelling like spilt vodka redbull.

In all seriousness, I totally love this scent and will so buy it again when it runs out !

Impulse | Sweet Smile body spray review

Hey guys! 

First things first, blast from the past or WHAT?

Impulse reminds me of school days when you'd have it in your gym bag and spray far too much after P.E or that sensetive time before you're quite ready to wear deodrant so you get body spray instead.
Impulse made me feel grown up and girlie when I was a young teen, so for that reason it has a place in my heart and I love to give them a sniff every now and then.

I however, just stumbled across this one today!

On facebook the other day a poll popped up (you know on of those annoying sponsered ones that always get ignored) but as it was Impulse I took a look.

The poll asked what your favourite scent was so I answered with my signature Impulse fragrance which was O2, oh yeaaaaah!
Who remembers O2?

Oh my goodness I just googled O2 and here it is!

I really want to smell it now and see the memories it brings back, i only remember it being citrus and so overpowing! 

There was also a pink one that I cannot remember the name of but was oh so good!

Anyway, after that I really wanted to give them a sniff and see what was new, surprisingly the only one I got to was the one I bought, Sweet Smile!

Sweet Smile reminds me of a Victoria's Secret body mist. It's a delicious fruity floral that smells good enough to eat!

It describes itself as having Pear and Jasmine as the main notes but I don't actually smell them, it's so well made actually it all just blends together nicely!

I would spend serious money if this was a perfume, honestly, all that it's missing is smacking a princess crown on and calling it a Vera Wang, it's honestly that good.

This was £1.99 and it's so light to carry around it's got a permanent place in my handbag you see, I'm not one of these girls that can have a big heavy bag with a cutlery drawer and a whole toolbox inside, I'm just far too lazy to lug that crap around. 

I'm such a perfume girl and have more perfume than I need but this is really up there as a favourite right now. 

Even if you don't usually like body sprays go give this a try, it may even surprise you like it did me!!

I hope you're all find and dandy, I'm trying to get into Dawson s Creek as it's on Net flicks and so far so good, I love a bit of 90's cheese.

Marc Jacobs Sunshine Edition

So for most of us it's a typical Febuary, which means you've maybe just found somewhere to store those hideous Christmas gifts ready to re-gift next year, days are getting slightly longer and Spring is getting so close! But to the marketing masterminds its not February at all, to them it's already summer and they're all churning out their summer editions, hey, they're probably working on next years editions already!!. 

I'm never usually a fan of summer editions, I swear adding ginger to an already perfect fragrance just ruins it (more on this soon) ! However, these little beauties have converted me!

Marc Jacobs is a cutie, he knows what us girls want in a perfume; an adorable bottle to proudly display on our vanities and a gorgeous fragrance which causes people to ask that oh so important question; 

"what are you wearing?"

His designs pull you in and even if you don't like the fragrance you'll want to just to get your hands on the bottles.

Daisy Sunshine

Personally, I'm not a big fan of the original Daisy, I prefer fruity scents so I was so excited to smell this, and did it disappoint? No it did not!! Not at all!

My boyfriend LOVED this on me, it was fruity and addictive and surprisingly grown up for such a playful fragrance, it had an edible note I couldn't put my finger on but I really cannot wait for this to be everywhere, this is on my birthday wishlist!

Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine

Its... So... Pretty I can't handle it!!
I was going to ask for the original for Valentines day but then the boyfie and I decided to eat our weight in Frankie and Bennys than do presents. But now I'm so glad I wont be getting that one, this one blows it out of the water!!!

It's still got the similar smell but sometimes Eau so fresh can give me a headache if i'm not on top form but this i feel i would be able to wear every single day!! 

I just kept smelling this as I was wearing it, it's delicious!
Is it bad to get both for my birthday?!

Oh Lola! Sunsheer

This one I didn't put on my skin, on the card it went almost almondy and so sweet it went bitter. 

I just can't describe it, it wasn't unpleasant, it's just not what I wanted to smell like!
It's a shame as I adored the orignial when it came out and wore it constantly but even that turns on me sometimes! Some of you will rock the hell out of this I'm sure, it's just not perfect for me.

Looking at the notes now I feel I should in theory love this one, I might have to give it another smell and actually try it on, however I feel it might be the tonka bean that was turning! 

I'm surprised there wasn't a summer dot, that could have been cute! like an aqua blue colour with white and pink dots, never mind!

There are some exciting new fragrances coming out this year, of course there's your Armani diamonds summer 13 which is (SURPRISE) the same as last years but these are just something new and exciting to keep your eyes peeled for.

I've only seen these in one shop so far and thats the perfume shop, some have them some do not, but Boots will get them end of Feb so let the excitement begin!!

NEW Britney Spears Island Fantasy Perfume

Guys I am so excited, I actually gasped when I saw this, the legendary Miss Britney Spears has a new fragrance!!

I was disappointed with her Fantasy Twist perfume as I was hoping for a new one in 2012 but luckily this new addition will be out soon!

Oh, my, GOSH! I am in love! 

It's funny I've been saying for a while she needs a tropical looking fantasy! I did imagine a yellow bottle with green diamonds, but this is okay too... I guess!

Just kidding, I love the bottle and I cannot wait to smell it! I'm sure it's going to be a staple scent for summer and I will take it on holiday and it will be amazing!

J'adore Juicy Couture

Oh hello gorgeous, how're you? It's been ages! Apologies, I have no excuse, I've just been lazy! 

It's a brand new year!! How about that eh? 

Anyway, I'm here to speak (ahem type) about my little Juicy stash I've got going on. 

I love Juicy Couture as a brand, i think it's fun, cute, girlie and glamorous  It's affordable but still a little luxury!

Pink and gold are my FAVOURITE and I mean the best of the best colours ever! They go so well together which is maybe also why I love Juicy so much.

Starting with the fragrances we have;

Viva La Juicy La Fleur

This is my newest addition to my collection! It's much like the original but different enough that it's worth having. It's more floral and a perfect day time scent, it's almost as fancy as daisy, which although nice, not a sexy, romantic party fragrance, just... nice, and hey, I like that.

I splurged this on... my boots points so I got it free!

RRP £47 for 50ml 

Viva La Juicy 

For me this is a must have! This bottle is almost 2 years old and I got it for my 20th birthday which is also the day my boyfriend asked me out, aw shucks! So this holds nice memories for us both, every time I spray this on we both look at each other and once he smells it he smiles which is super sweet! This smells edible and caramelly and yummy and ooooh, go smell it if you haven't already, I loves it!

Couture Couture

When I was young I had a Barbie perfume and yes, it was delicious and if I remembered what the bottle looked like or whatever I would try and hunt it down and buy any last drop I can find, it was to die for, I was so the best smelling child on the playground that year. I tell you this as when I first smelt this, I instantly remembered that fragrance it took me back so to speak! So I actually call this my barbie perfume! I was so happy when my boyfriend saw this in Debenhams for half price in a giftset! It's quite heavy and a real show stopper, perfect for a Juicy girl then right?

Viva La Juicy Rollerball

My first Juicy fragrance! I got these in a set of three from work, I had never smelt any before and we got them in without testers so I couldn't smell them, but when they were half price after Christmas I snatched them up on a whim! I automatic loved Viva La Juicy and I think I gave away Juicy Couture original and Couture Couture is in my going out bag i think :)

ooh la la mademoiselle, je suis en amour! The newest little lady in their line! I reviewed this here and I am so in love, it's gorgeous, as much as I love pink and gold, the silver is gorgeous too, perfect everything!

In front I have my jewellery from my "amoureux" Adam! I was very lucky and got them for our one year anniversary! Lucky Lucky girl!

*drools* they're so pretty, I don't wear them too much but I love them dearly!

Juicy Couture La La Perfume Review!

You may have seen my earlier post about this perfume and how excited I was to get it thinking I'd have to wait AGES, however, it is now all mine!!

When I first saw the bottle it was almost like love at first sight, the juice is a rose pink and it's decorated with a beautiful necklace and a backwards bow, the jewels are all silver but there is a small pink diamanté in there, there is so much detail to make this bottle beautiful.

The scent is meant to be effortlessly classy and glamorous  which actually, at first spray, it was a dud. It smelt like DKNY Be Delicious (i dislike DKNY no matter what) and I'm not too sure why you would want a lingering stench of apple but hey, that's just me. So I was like "oh.." and actually a little sad.
I wanted to love it, I loved everything else it was offering just not the smell. 

I tried it on and luckily the apple peace's out pretty soon on me, then it dries down to a floral musky almost vanilla smell, but not a sweet vanilla. I'm terrible at describing scents, sorry!

I kept wondering what that smell was and then I smelt my wrists and it was me!
Yay! I was in love with it!!

This is like nothing I've had before. 

I like Britney Spears and Taylor Swift perfumes and this is nothing like them. 

My boyfriend commented and said "don't take this the wrong way, but it smells mature, not grandma mature but like, classy" and he loves it!

So really I think that goes to show, it does what it promises.

I would wear this to dinner or to nice daytime events. I'm not sure it's fun enough for work and for sure not for a night out, I might just keep this for when the time calls for it. 

I would so recommend giving this a chance, it's gorgeous inside and out!

Juicy Couture La La

Excuse me, I haven't stopped screaming since I saw this!
Juicy Couture have a new fragrance everyone!!
As a big Juicy fan I am buzzing about this, I have had all of them in the past but wasn't too in love with the new Viva La Fleur which I was quite disappointed with as I so thought i'd swoon and lets not go there with Peace, Love... just no!

Viva La Juicy is my signature as I love sweet edible fragrances and the caramel note in Viva is just divine!

This however, isn't based on the Viva La Juicy range but will be more of a modern take on the 2006 original Juicy Couture.
Now, this can only mean good things as although I grew to, lets say like, the original it still was never a Original Juicy Couture kinda day as it was just too mature for me, this will be much fruitier and although will still feature musk, hopefully it's life won't depend on it.

The bottle itself is amazing, I love the rose juice and the crown its wearing along the bow, I already know it will look right at home next to my Viva La Juicy and my Couture Couture on my dresser!

I love everything about La La! The name, the bottle, the notes... everything!!

This is of course out in america first late November 2012 but with any luck they'll bring this Diva over the pond soon cause us Juicy girls need to meet her too!

Naughty purchase: Katy Perry Purr

Oh Dear!! Here is a funny story, this little kitty just JUMPED into my bag! Then my card literally fell into the chip & pin device and somehow entered my pin number without me even noticing....

OK I LIED. I had to have it! I've wanted this for about 2 years now, since I knew it was coming out and saw the little kitty bottle! As a crazy cat lady myself, it's always been on my wish list but as it's adorable has always been too pricey! So after saving a lot of money this month, paying bills and spending a huge amount on driving lessons (£200!!) I thought this little kitty could be my treat! It feels like I've bought nothing nice for myself this month so I really feel I deserve it (with a few pangs of "ooohhh should I have?!!)
So today I saw this bottle which is usually £24.50 was down to £16.60! I have never seen this on an offer before so I thought it nessisary to buy! Isn't that so cheap?

So the box is a little plain, some come with a sleeve of Katy looking oh so gorgeous in a sexy cat costume with a huge ball of yarn! I seriously love that woman, she is so funny! It has a sweet little cat face drawn on which is exactly how I draw my own cat faces which I adore so much that I am actually getting it tattooed onto my hip on wednesday!!!
The box is quite nice and plain really! Nice reflective silver card so it feels fancy!

This may not seem important to some, but I just love little extras. Once the outside packaging has done its job and looked pretty enough to buy and you've seen a cute bottle they really have to stop there, but some decide to just make it all a bit cuter like this one. You open it up and it's all a lovely deep royal purple to match the bottle and font colour with a lovely white Purr logo! It made me smile so I thought it was worth mention as it might make you smile!

Onto the gorgeous bottle!!! I love it. I gasped when i first heard the Idea Katy was throwing around then again when I saw the ads, then when I saw it in person! I am just in love with this bottle design! It's just so fun and playful how can you hate it!? 

The bottle I bought is a 30ml but is an amazing size for the amount there! I would not be ashamed to give this as a gift as it looks enough! Like my bottle of Amor Amor is diddy even though theyre both 30ml it just looks like theres nothing in there! The cats eyes are gorgeous and i love how it looks all grumpy and proud, just like my kitties!
This smells to me like vanilla florals! I wouldn't really say it's too sweet but there are some fruits in there I just cannot pick them out. My boyfriend said Raspberry but alas, none in there according to Fragrantica! Oh well!
I have waited for this for so long I am super glad I treated myself!
I am so excited to pop this in my bag and pull it out whenever I can but as it lasts on me for so long, that might be rare! BOO!

Perfume Clearout!!

Hiiii! I just made a new video on all of the perfumes I've decided to keep and why!

Cher Lloyd EDT

Righteo, Okay, my first thought too was "Oh really?" but hear me out. I do like a bit of Cher Lloyd. I don't like X factor shows and ones like it but I liked her. From her first audition I was like "her, she's alright" So I then followed her through till the end. Once she went. I stopped watching. I think she's unique and it doesn't come across as false, she's young and seems like shes having a whale of a time. She can wear the weirdest clothes and it suits her, but then put on a cute knit cardigan and be someone else. Not many people can actually do that. Her voice can be annoying but again, her music is fun. Anything that gives me a fun beat whilst i'm doing some housework or walking to work gets a big tick from me.

But Miss Lloyd. This bottle is a disaster. I like the box, very Justin Bieber Somedayesque. But as someone who tries to prove herself to people a lot I feel the bottle is seriously lacking. Maybe if it was see through glass rather than pink plastic, therefore it's almost a bit tacky but also interesting at the same time. I realise I am not Chers demographic. As a 21 year old she's not even creating this for me but for about 13 - 17 year olds who look up to her so I shouldn't be too surprised its not to my taste. But Cher has a lot to prove people. 

There are no notes available as of yet but I do guess it will smell like Britney Spears Fantasy. Sugary sweet, cupcakes and all that jazz! But with this she is no doubt starting a chain reaction. I bet this will sell like hot cakes come christmas which will only lead her to creating more and with that as she matures so will her fragrances and everyone will look back and go "OH CHER WHAT WAS THAT BOTTLE" and she'll go "Oh i know I know!" Just remember, Cheryl Cole was once that corn rowed little hooligan and now she's our nations sweet heart! Anything can happen!

Moaning aside, I will take a smell of this when I see it and I actually think it's a good move for her.

Perfume & make up is my thing. 

I've never been good at anything else nor been into anything as much. I'm a collector really, just not one who's collecting old models of steam trains or who has books of stamps. I collect perfume and beauty items and once I start I get pretty into it. Once I bought a Vera Wang Princess fragrance on a whim as it was half price, I had never been that much into the Princess collections before that, I thought the bottles were charming and they smelt nice enough but once I bought that one little heart shaped bottle I got carried away and within 2 months or something silly I had them all. All 50mls too... they have to all be the same size, duh. Then it became Celebrity fragrances, I, of course, had to get all of the Britney Spears perfumes as I already had quite a few and I do love Britney but this doesn't explain why I went and blind bought the ones I knew I would not like?! I did this with actually quite a few celebrites. All Paris Hiltons, Hilary duffs (One in each size) and lets not start with my pallette addiction and mac lipsticks. I have a £26 dior lipstick I bought for just a night out and I never even wear it nor actually like the colour! It's ridiculous.

 I feel that now I'm actually starting to care less. I've broken up collections, given some away just because It was just plain stupid having all my money tied up in fancy scented liquid. Now I still love perfumes but I NEVER run out of them which I would almost like as it would show thats its worth me having them and that they're being used, you know?

Well there are two new perfumes coming out by D&G and Boss and I would LOVE them. I mean real love. I would fight over which one I want to wear that day but I feel I can't buy them as I already have enough perfumes. I cannot justify having any more. Buying a perfume is a luxury, I've come to expect them and be comfortable having £2000 worth of perfume at my disposal. I want them to remain a luxury. I've realised life isn't about having a more than enough perfume to last me a decade. I would rather my money went somewhere much better like days out with my man or savings (!!). At the end of the day perfumes are lovely and they take up so much of my daily thoughts and i will always be excited about new releases and "what perfume do I wear today" but it really doesn't matter at all, not really matter! 

I have ones that mean the world to me but the rest I have to just say goodbye to. I would be lying if I said it's easy and that I haven't actually got emotional because I have. As I said perfumes are my thing and I've realised I cant carry on buying them willy nilly. But when I do get one maybe once a year it will mean more. Like the ones I know I cant throw away because I HAD waited so long for them (Taylor Swift Wonderstruck) or because they hold an important memory for me (Viva La Juicy) or maybe just ones that are now impossible to find (Original EDP Miss Dior Cherie). I'm totally rambaling. But I'm glad I've realised this now. I got very much carried away but I figured out what really matters and I'm sure fragrance isn't it.

Thank you so much for reading this dolls, I will do a fragrance collection soon and explain my loves for them as the ones I have left really do mean something.

Next up is finding the strength to throw away empty fragrance bottles from years ago. EEEK!

New Paris Hilton Fragrance

What an exciting announcement! I've been waiting for a new fragrance from one of my queens for a while! I adore Paris Hilton in everything that she is. She is an amazing business woman, she's super beautiful and she just oozes girliness! So when I saw these a moment ago (literally, I'm still buzzing) I had to share. I don't know too much information about this just yet but it will be released June this year and is... a fruity floral! Yes yes I hear the crickets and tumbleweed blowing, Obvious right? No no no! Do we remember Tease? That was her last fragrance which was a white floral (Yawn)! It was basically Michael Korrs with some blonde hair on it. I didn't like it one bit (I say that... I have it sitting around. As I said. I love all things Paris) So I'm super pumped for Paris to bring it back to what she does best, fun sweet gorgeous scents in a lovely charming bottle! This is something I wouldn't have expected from her, maybe Katie Price ( I like Katie too, I'm not hating) but I like it none the less. This is why I love Paris. I've been her fan for YEARS yet the chick still surprises me!

It comes in what looks like a 30ml 50ml 125ml and a 150ml/200ml body lotion! That's just a guess but it sure looks like it. I'm glad she's not doing it in a shower gel as I've had a few and they all smelt terrible then when I watched reviews... theirs were horrid too!
So I could not be more excited for this release, I'm sure it won't let me down. I trust Paris! She's a smart girl.

The Dazzle Collection

Packages!!!!!

I was in bed, when I heard a van, I thought, oh i better put a shirt on in case thats for me, the the door knocks, "EEEEE MY PACKAGES!!!"
I've been waiting for these for a week so I was very excited.

When I open the door in my backwards shirt, the postman hands me a sack. YES, a sack!!

So I look in and theres a few packages, not worthy of a sack, but I understand where the postman was coming from!
So I got a bit excited and ripped all of them open!

The first one I opened was a box with a few of Lizs birthday presents in then the next had a present each for Liz and Jaz for Christmas then I opened the one for meeeee!! It had my perfumes from America that I swapped with someone!

This is a 50ml Wrapped With Love by Hilary Duff and the girl had never even used it! I know this because I had to spray it lots for any to come out!! I love it! I smelt it back when I went to Ireland in the Airport and I really didn't like it, it smelt like melon or something so I was really disappointed, but when someone offered me this as half of a swap, i thought fuck it, why not!? And yes, I love it!! It's not as nice as the original With Love, but what will be, the original is lush, This is more a sexy daytime version with more floral notes than the spicy original! So excited about it!

And this is a 100ml Paris Hilton Heiress! This one has been used so it's actually more like 75ml but I knew about that when we were agreeing to swap so it's okay! I love love love this fragrance!! When I was 16 I started really loving perfumes and asking for them for every occasion, but I only ever recieved 30ml cause they're expensive, but I got a grant from college and first thing I did was go out and buy the 100ml of this! it cost me like £60 but I loved it!! It smells like bubble gum and it's such a sweet cute fragrance, this will be my 3rd bottle and I cannot wait to smell like this again!!!
So I swapped both of them for that 100ml Peace Love and Juicy Couture I hated!!! and because it didnt have the lid (which is a big deal as the lid like, makes the bottle) I swapped the body lotion too! That fragrance smelt like tree sap so It's a pretty great swap!!!

I wish I could put up pictures of what I got my friends and I will, just once it's been 5th November!!!!

Now look! i have one of each size!!

Hello Beauty Consultant!

I went to a second job interview at the chain of stores where I work today. It was got a better position than i already work... much better. It would be for a beauty consultant role, this means fragrance, cosmetics, electrical, all of them. And i was so nervous, for years I have gone into Selfridges, debenhams and John Lewis just in love with the displays and the look of them always saying "thats what I want to be" and today... I AM ONE!!!! I got offered the job and I could be starting in two weeks, it's amazing, i'm so excited. This is my happy face
