Impulse | Sweet Smile body spray review

Hey guys!
First things first, blast from the past or WHAT?
Impulse reminds me of school days when you'd have it in your gym bag and spray far too much after P.E or that sensetive time before you're quite ready to wear deodrant so you get body spray instead.
Impulse made me feel grown up and girlie when I was a young teen, so for that reason it has a place in my heart and I love to give them a sniff every now and then.
I however, just stumbled across this one today!
On facebook the other day a poll popped up (you know on of those annoying sponsered ones that always get ignored) but as it was Impulse I took a look.
The poll asked what your favourite scent was so I answered with my signature Impulse fragrance which was O2, oh yeaaaaah!
Who remembers O2?
Oh my goodness I just googled O2 and here it is!
I really want to smell it now and see the memories it brings back, i only remember it being citrus and so overpowing!
There was also a pink one that I cannot remember the name of but was oh so good!
Anyway, after that I really wanted to give them a sniff and see what was new, surprisingly the only one I got to was the one I bought, Sweet Smile!

Sweet Smile reminds me of a Victoria's Secret body mist. It's a delicious fruity floral that smells good enough to eat!
It describes itself as having Pear and Jasmine as the main notes but I don't actually smell them, it's so well made actually it all just blends together nicely!
I would spend serious money if this was a perfume, honestly, all that it's missing is smacking a princess crown on and calling it a Vera Wang, it's honestly that good.

This was £1.99 and it's so light to carry around it's got a permanent place in my handbag you see, I'm not one of these girls that can have a big heavy bag with a cutlery drawer and a whole toolbox inside, I'm just far too lazy to lug that crap around.

I'm such a perfume girl and have more perfume than I need but this is really up there as a favourite right now.
Even if you don't usually like body sprays go give this a try, it may even surprise you like it did me!!

I hope you're all find and dandy, I'm trying to get into Dawson s Creek as it's on Net flicks and so far so good, I love a bit of 90's cheese.

loveeeeee you

What is up with Essie nail colours??

Essie, a great nail brand, I adore the unusual colours, the sassy names and how theyre the only polish that lasts more than one day without a chip on my flaky as hell nails! Out of all my polishes one of my most loved colours is of course, Fiji, I love the milky pink hue and the creamy consistency
I don't own any other colours as I find theyre a tad on the pricey side!
I have a salon services card so I get my hands on OPI nail colours for about £6, Essie colours are £7.99 so i'm afraid OPI wins with me.
But at work, my desk is right infront of the Essie stand so I do catch myself looking at them quite a bit and one thing I thought is the title; "What is up with the Essie colours?"

Now I've noticed this a lot, when we first got the stand in, Fiji was clearly a pink nail colour. If you asked anybody what colour it was, they would say pink. Then we started getting in the Fiji as I know it now, a milky white that is just ever so slightly pink. To me thats what makes it so amazing,  how it's barely pink. But for a while it was super confusing as if you held them next to eachother, they looked like complete different polishes!

Another example:
Both are number 17 polishes Muchi, Muchi, the left is a pale pink almost peachy colour polish, the one on the right (which I believe to be the true colour) is a thin pink colour.
They're close, but do we all agree they're not the same?
To most people they might not notice a difference (or care),  but as we all love our polishes and rebuy them constantly I feel we would.
Say for instance you loved the one on the right and it was your staple polish and you went to rebuy and they only had the peach hue, would you notice? I feel we would, it wouldn't be earth shattering but it would be an annoyance and one of those "why do they have to always change it" moments.

I've noticed this with some other colours over the past months but these are the only ones I could currently find to take some photos of!

I don't think they're old batches which are slightly sun altered as now we keep getting in the peach toned Muchi, Muchi, and the Milky Fiji, it wouldn't make sense for them to be more pink to start with, I don't even know, it's confusing!

Do you know what's going on with Essie? Is this something you have noticed?
Please do let me know below, I'm amazed by the magic of the changing Essie polishes!!

I hope everyone has a fab week!!

Juicy Couture La La Perfume Review!

You may have seen my earlier post about this perfume and how excited I was to get it thinking I'd have to wait AGES, however, it is now all mine!!

When I first saw the bottle it was almost like love at first sight, the juice is a rose pink and it's decorated with a beautiful necklace and a backwards bow, the jewels are all silver but there is a small pink diamanté in there, there is so much detail to make this bottle beautiful.

The scent is meant to be effortlessly classy and glamorous  which actually, at first spray, it was a dud. It smelt like DKNY Be Delicious (i dislike DKNY no matter what) and I'm not too sure why you would want a lingering stench of apple but hey, that's just me. So I was like "oh.." and actually a little sad.
I wanted to love it, I loved everything else it was offering just not the smell.
I tried it on and luckily the apple peace's out pretty soon on me, then it dries down to a floral musky almost vanilla smell, but not a sweet vanilla. I'm terrible at describing scents, sorry!

I kept wondering what that smell was and then I smelt my wrists and it was me!
Yay! I was in love with it!!

This is like nothing I've had before.
I like Britney Spears and Taylor Swift perfumes and this is nothing like them.

My boyfriend commented and said "don't take this the wrong way, but it smells mature, not grandma mature but like, classy" and he loves it!

So really I think that goes to show, it does what it promises.

I would wear this to dinner or to nice daytime events. I'm not sure it's fun enough for work and for sure not for a night out, I might just keep this for when the time calls for it.

I would so recommend giving this a chance, it's gorgeous inside and out!

Crafty Creative Claire

Image taken by me

Hi there. So as the title implies, I've been getting quite crafty! Some may say cheap but others will back me up thinking it's quite the smart move!
So I've been after a studded phone case for a while but as my funds are usually drained I could never seem to part with £15 for ones I saw on ebay. A few months went by and I pondered more and more until I thought
"right, well I could definitely just make that for a few quid"
So make that I did!
I ordered a blank white phone case and some studs and glue and I waited. I waited and waited and almost exploded when both landed on my doorstep a month later! It took so long cause I convinced myself i was willing to wait for the long delivery date as i was getting it for china prices. It always sucks me in!
So I took all my crafts around to my boyfriends house and got down and dirty whilst him and his brother bored me with their fifa game. Le sigh!

Sadly, it didn't last long as it was so quick and easy to make!! I had a load of fun actually doing it and getting my fingers super glued together (got to be done really) and getting excited seeing it all come together.
When I put it on my phone I found myself constantly looking at it. I willed people to text me so I would have reason to hold my phone up and have another cheeky look at it. Like when you've just done your nails and you touch everything really elegantly - oh how embarrassing!

So this phone case cost me less than £3 to make, I had fun whilst doing it and I'm bloody proud!
Now I think i've caught the bug of what else can I do myself! I feel like a designer now, I can do anything Hurrah!
Or maybe I'll just stick to gluing pretty things onto plain things till I get a bit more inspired, maybe thats for the best!

I'm terribly sorry this sounds all muddled. I should have been fast a bobo's a while ago.
So i've got some more things planned to decorate soon so no doubt i'll update on that - if it looks good that is!

I hope you're all well!
Toodles!

Lush Haul

I consider myself a bath person, but when I'm in the bath, I get rather bored. I try candles, magazines, music but nothing makes me want to stay in the bath longer than 10 minutes. However, one thing that keeps me going in there is a good bath bomb. But not just any bath bomb it has to be a lush bath bomb!
I am a complete lush fiend! I cannot step foot in there without spending half a days wage. These were kindly treated to me by my wonderful boyfriend Adam, but if I had been buying, it sure would have been more!
So I went shopping in Milton Keynes to get these beauties and as I greedily put items in my basket I noticed how I always go for the same ones!

The Comforter £4.15 each This is a glorious little thing. I say little, it's actually HUGE! The price seems a little steep but it goes so far! I get 4 baths out of this, sometimes more or less depending how much TLC I need! It also smells so devine! The website says its blackcurrent and other berries, but to me it's like bubblegum or something as cheeky smelling. It's such an edible fragrance I may have tried to eat the bubbles to test if it really tasted like the smell - it doesn't, yuck!
Other than the gorgeous smell, the main reason I keep buying is the quality of the bubbles it produces! I always remember watching rugrats and their baths were SO bubbly I was so jealous that mine was just pitiful bubbles, this is actually like swimming in bubbles, it's so lovely! I think everyone should try this or at least go into a lush and smell it, if that doesn't tickle you, how about the fact that it turns your bath water bright pink? Sold!

Dragons Egg £3.15 each So this is the second one i've purchased and this time I just was not in love with it! I seems like I should love it, I mean it's gorgeous, it's big, its got colourful bits and a glitter centre! I should have loved it, but even with this bathbomb I just wanted to escape the bath. It smelt like citrus but all I could smell was lemon which at night in a candle lit bath was a bit odd for me. It was great when the popping candy starting exploding! It hits against the bath and makes a really loud ping noise! The colourful discs floating around was fun too, however, it just wasn't enough to make me fall in love. Then when it got to the glitter centre it was a nightmare! I didn't notice how glittery my boyfriend and I was in the bath, but when we were in bed or going to work the next day, it was EVERYWHERE. I wouldn't mind so much, but he hated the stuff! This makes me think that really it's just me who was in a funny mood and than it's not Dragon Eggs fault, but I now remember not being too fussed first time round! I would reccomend this really, I just don't think its me! A+ for originality, again Popping candy in a bathbomb? Wow!

Dorothy £2.99 each. This little fellow is Dorothy. It's (She?) is an amazingly bright bubble bar! I picked this beauty up because it smells like the figs and leaves soap which is one of my favs! Also, at £2.99 for a bubble bar! That's cheap for Lush, straight into my basket it went! I tried this one I think either the day I got it. I was just so excited. If you're not familiar with the Figs and Leaves smell, it's described as floral on their site, but to me it really is your lovely "soap" smell. Can I just point out how funny i find it that wayyy back when, soap smelt like soap, then someone came and made it smell all rosey and stuff so we're in constant search for that "soap" smelling soap! Unless that is just me. Ohwell not the time for irony! I loved the smell in the shop because I imagined sitting in the bath surrounded by this lovely clean smell and brightly coloured water and I just could not wait.
Photo from my Instagram
So I crumbled it up under warm water as you do and I just got super exited, it looks like the food in the movie Hook! You know the best part where they're imagining all the food?! If you haven't seen it, go watch it now! This was just getting better and better! Until i came back to my tub expecting a mountain of bubbles but was greeted by just a scantaly clad blue water with a sprinkling of bubbles! Dissapointing! However, I got in and could barely smell the beautiful scent I was expecing! As I said, baths rarely keep my attention long so within minutes, I was out and pulling the plug on my £2.99 fail whale. Sigh. I couldn't even smell it on my skin after! I could have cried (well no, but hurruh for drama!) This bath bomb is typical of some silly boys I know, they look great, seem promising but when you're naked they let you down! Oh I shouldn't have said that, I'm completly joking, I was gonna say a different joke but that just came out, Naughty!
SO you might really like this, It wasn't the worst I just expected more! My friend had it and had no complaints, but being quite tricky to please, it wasn't The One! This might sneak its way back into my wicker lush basket soon because that's just the kinda gal I am!

Cupcake £5.75 for 75ml Ooooh Cupcake, my real weakness! This is a mask you must try! This is the one I always debate about buying each time I see it in it's little silver bowl looking yummy. I have quite alright skin, it can be sensitive to the most silly things but I don't really have spots only stubbon blackheads so I don't really need this other than how gorgeous is smells, looks and how I just like to put on a mask sometimes and be girlie, Okay! Now i'll be the first to admit it's a teeny container, but you get so much in there and as theyre fresh, you need to really use it within days! So I'm not too sure what this is supposed to achive, lovely smooth skin I suspect but my boyfriend has the few huge spot (i'm a spot popping fiend so I do love this) and this mask (sorry to be gross) popped his spots. Like we put it on our faces (yes my boyfriend did too!) and when I looked it had opened his pores so much they'd popped the few blemishes he had! Madness! That really impressed me as it must actually work by clearing out pores!!
I would love to put the photos of us both together on here, but i'll let the boy keep his dignity shall i?! Can I also add how Lush has a recycling scheme with these pots, once emptied, i believe you take 5 back to the store for recycling and they give you a brand spanking new pot of your choice for FREE!  Lush... You've done it again. So perfect !
8/10
I've given this an 8 because it smells so good but it tasted horrible when I licked some. Don't tempt me so much lush!

Twilight £3.15 each. Oh I saved the best till last didn't I!? Lavender haters, don't write this one off yet. I have always loathed Lavender. My dear mother loves the stuff, I could never get my head round it. Those little purple petals to me means headache migraine hell! So imagine how shocked I was when I fell in love with this amazing scent only to be told it's lavenders baby. Lavender must have got cozy with Zac Efron for it to get this yummy! I've always wanted to love Lavender (could I say Lavender any more? oops just did!) I've loved how it has soothing abilities and can send you to sleep all peacefully and as a night owl, i need something like that in my life. Calm me down when the clock hits 10 not get me kicking! So I had a few of these in my time before I fell in love with it, Ive always loved its smell but recently I had a stressful time with an old buddy of mine, so I popped one of these in the bath (the colours, oh god the colours!) and I chatted to my boyfriend for almost an hour about what was bothering me. After I got out i felt like a weight was lifted. I assume it was all the talking but I highly think it was Twilight. Oh you. It just kept me calm and soothed and dreamy. When I crawled into bed I could still smell it and it sent me right off into the land of nod. Brilliant! When you put it into the water it's like a cool hue sunset! It has lavender then blue then pink layers then in the final layer it has just the right amount of glitter! Enough to maybe leave some specks on you which will make any sane person smile when they see, but not crazy amounts that ends up on your face for years! Oh I'm wanting to have a twilight bath right now! If you've got a rough patch in your life or have someone in need of some cheering up, I suggest this! It's a lovely little thing which holds great powers! But if they're a Harry Potter fan, just don't tell them the name....
10/10

So that's all for now. Since I got these a month or so ago I've been to another lush and only got myself Twilight bombs!! So theres a result! I may leave my next haul for a month as I do spend too much money in Lush, but come Julys payday there will be a riot!
Tell me everyone, did you even get through all that? What did you think of these products if you've tried them!? Lush forever yes?
Speak soon!

Hello Beauty Consultant!

I went to a second job interview at the chain of stores where I work today. It was got a better position than i already work... much better. It would be for a beauty consultant role, this means fragrance, cosmetics, electrical, all of them. And i was so nervous, for years I have gone into Selfridges, debenhams and John Lewis just in love with the displays and the look of them always saying "thats what I want to be" and today... I AM ONE!!!! I got offered the job and I could be starting in two weeks, it's amazing, i'm so excited. This is my happy face
Oh I am so happy! It's going to be great, once I train to be a beauty consultant I would get a perfume allowance. Oh lord! They will give me a budget and all i have to do is buy fragrance within that budget. MY MY MY. Hello perfection!
