have a jolly olly olly halloween!!

Helllllooo sugar! Long time no speak, I apologise profusely!
I was struck down with a killer case of a sicky bug! Oh it was dreadful but dramatics aside, I'm on the mend! I did not miss a day of work so therefore something had to have time off and that was the Internet!
However, Halloween came and I had a Halloween party to attend, I never do much for Halloween but this year I knew people would be all dressed up and actually, it would be embarrassing to not do the same.

Every year I do manage to chuck on some ears and draw an eye-liner nose on myself but this year I wanted to step it up a notch. I wanted to dress a bit sexy so Ann Summers was my first stop, i typed "cat into the search bar and up it popped with the one outfit I KNEW I needed!

Google Image
Just look at it! It has a tail for crying out loud!!!
It was in the Ann Summers sale for £20 but then with the delivery charge it would be about £25... not so good for a one night thing right? So being a bargain hunter I went for ebay! I found a size 14 for £12 or something and nabbed that right up! I was so excited when it came to my door and I promptly stripped to try it on! It was a nightmare, it was teeny (yes blame the clothes) then the zip broke. How fat did I feel right then lets all think about it - ahaha! So off it went back to the seller and I had to decide do I get a 16 or 18? Time was getting pretty short with a week to go till the party and my predicament was would a 16 not fit and I couldn't wear it full stop or would an 18 be too big and just look like a sack of potatoes.
I couldn't find any of those sizes for any lovely prices online so I had to order from Ann Summers but a little trick I learnt folks was if you go into the store and order it through their online system (literally let me behind the till to Internet shop it was so weird) they give you FREE home delivery!! Hurrah, I hate paying delivery, bloody hate it, so it was a result for me.
One very bad thing about Ann Summers delivery is that I received an email thanking me for my order but not a dispatch email so all week i was worried about where the devil my package was!! Eventually it came Thursday (i had ordered it  Friday) for my party the next day! & it fit!!!

Look at my kitty in the corner !!

My friends went as a police woman (officer naughty!) and a sailor girl!!
The party we went to was INSANE. She went all out, i wish i took photos! There were gazebos everywhere with sheets up covered in blood with knives and stuff! And they had this chill out room which was all UV and had a TV with the ring montage thing on a loop! creepy!
Mitch glowing away..

MEOW

Aw this guy is so sweet! We used to hang out and had a nice little chat it was lovely!

Officer Naughty and her prisoner!!
I left early as I had a raging headache and I wanted my bed but it was a good night and I can't lie, I loved people telling me how good I looked since they last saw me. MAKE UP <3

How was your Halloween guys?? What did you dress as?!?
EEEE now Halloween is over it's CHRISTMAS TIME <3

No7 Perfect Match made foundation thingy ma jig!

Hellooo there!! I've been meaning to write about this forever! I learnt about this magic machine back in April but could not say anything so I'm so excited to tell everyone who maybe does not know!
No7 is a brand from Boots stores, it's their top selling cosmetics and has won so many prizes, you may have heard of their protect & perfect serum (which is amazing) which sold out minutes after it's launch!

This clever machine claims to match your natural skin tone to one of the No7 Foundation colours, and oh boy does it!
So this is the machine in question! I was told it's a device... not a machine. Righto, it's still a machine though, device sounds like a probe!!
It's so simple to use, once calibrated you take off a small area of foundation (if you're wearing any) and simply place the camera part over your skin, take a picture and repeat with the other side, then it will give you an average colour!
You know it's a good match as they use a traffic light system, Green will appear if its perfect, yellow if it's a good match and red to basically say No! Try again! Ha!

So my sister was dying to get measured so whilst out shopping we popped into Boots and just asked for the service, she was sat down, & actually I wasn't too happy with the Consultants manner and knowledge of the products but boots are usually really good so don't take that as be all end all!
She was matched up and given the right shade and sent away happy with her correct shade because I had a £5 No7 off voucher, woo!
The consultant measured her but as she went to find the colour I made her take a photo haha!
could not resist a pose, what are we like?!

Anyway, I myself got measured when I was went to a whole day about it and I even got given a full size bottle to take away with me of my perfect colour!

So I got given the stay perfect range, which isn't actually my favourite, I would have picked either the Beautifully Matte or the Lift and Luminate which is meant for over 40's but is just such a gorgeous coverage! This however is supposed to last the day, which to me it doesn't but maybe it does last longer than others, I'm not too sure as mine never tend to last!
I got matched to Cool Vanilla, personally I would have preferred Warm Vanilla as this is the second palest and I do like something a bit warmer. I was given the option of taking home the one I preferred, but for reviewing the machine purposes, I wanted to go with the one it recommended!
The things I do for you people ;)

Hey ho, photo of the bottle.

it's soooo paleee *cries*

Naughty me, testing it on my hand, don't shout at me, we all do it! I mainly do it for constancy and to pre-test it almost! This is quite a runny liquid but as you rub it in it does go creamier, I would so suggest putting this on with fingers as it's just too runny for a sponge or brush!

So here i am putting it on my face lalala it's going to be pale theres no way this will ma-

Oh holey moley the thing bloody works, how does that match my skin!?!? Well I'll be dammed!

Yes, apparently I am the second from palest after all. It takes a bit of getting used to wearing your natural shade cause thats what this is all about. Natural! After a few uses I agree that this suits me, however, I would still prefer the warmer one. Why? Just because :(

If you're interested in this service, it's free!!!!!
Go into Boots and just ask "Hi i've heard about this foundation match, Is someone able to measure my skin please?" and before you know it you'll be sitting in that chair being amazed at how you lived without it.
If you're worried that they'll give you a natural colour that you think is a bit pale, i'm sure they'll be fine finding a warmer shade for you. I've done that myself no worries, they understand that you want something to give you a bit more colour. Don't be afraid to ask!!

So there is that wonderful thing, want to know something even more cool? No7 has it exclusive for a whole year, so maybe next year other counters will have it but for now, if you wanna experience it, Boots is the only place which to me, is pretty fancy!

Let me know if you've been matched! What did you think?!
Love

this was not sponsored at all, I work for No7 but I am always completely honest just as i am with my customers! I would never say something was amazing when it's not and I did not get paid for writing this, although who thinks I should!!? haha xo

Have a rave not a rant!

Hi there, so from the photo you can see, I've complained. I complained hard and Nandos gave me free food. Yes I suppose they did try to kill* me loading the food i was eating full of what I was allergic to after I asked for it twice without but complaining does have it's plus points.

After working in a store I became very good at standing my ground and what the person behind the till needs to hear until they give in. How disgusting is that to say? But I learnt to be manipulative almost. I also learnt that an email does a hell of a lot of good in your favour. I've actually complained to nandos a few times, they seem to always chuck Dairy into my food and make me send it back which means by the time it comes back, i'm eating alone (does anyone else despise eating alone?) and I've always got a good response, but one time the manager remembered me, came and asked how I was, personally called me to check I got my "chicken cheque" and literally went above and beyond. So I thought "hey if she was rude, I would complain but she is being lovely, so why not tell her managers that" so I did and I got a sweet reply at how she was being rewarded some way or another!

So I didn't get any free chicken to feast on but I did feel good that she was a really good manager and who doesn't feel under appreciated in their jobs? So with any hope she got shown the email and went home that day thinking not all customers were meanies!!

This has become something I do a lot, just last week I was shopping in lush (YUM) and I was casually speaking to my sister about the Big shampoo, she overheard and literally ran to grab it and show me, it did not feel pushy at all, when I was all polite like "ooh yes thank you" i turned to my sister and mentioned how expensive it was and before I knew it she was decanting into little pots for me and my sister and threw in a chunk of the conditioner for free! It was so nice that she could have just carried in with what she was doing I mean she had customers about but she went all out when she didn't have to and it means a lot to me cause I always do that to my customers at work and it's nice for someone to do that for me, so with my new "rave not rant" hat on I wrote a email bigging up Naomii (checked my recipet!) and how she was such a doll, she told me by the way the founder of lush speciallises in haircare, like he trained to be some fancy pants haircare expert (she said a name, i didn't remember the name) this sold me, i'm so trying more of their shampoos, I'm yet to use Big but when I do expect fireworks, i've heard it was amazing.

a nandos "Mediterranean salad" which is supposed to contain tomatos, pepper, paprika dressing, celery and some other bits and bobs, however, i received a rabbits dream!

So what I've babbled on about is i'm all for complaining when it feels right. Never complain just for free stuff and never try to single out staff who you've felt have been rude, talk to people who you were with if they actually were being as rude as you felt. You never know what someone is going through that day, someone thought my colleague at work was being rude but in reality her sick grandad had been ill for months and she had been his carer almost and he had just died the day before. But also, of course complain if you really feel somethings not right (like some woman arguing with me that i definitely asked for extra cheese, i'm allergic, why would i!)

But with every rant you write to a company, write a rave! Maybe not about that shop assistant that gave you a big bag just because you wanted one, they're just doing their job but about that shop assistant that came up to you cause she saw you looked lost or found it no problem to stand and talk to you and hear everything you had to say, they're things they don't have to do they just did!

If anyone makes you walk away saying "oh she was really sweet" then always write a letter to the company or right then ask to see their manager, coming from someone in retail, it means so much to have someone turn around and sincerely say "Thank you!"

I hope you're all well and have no need to write complains!
Have you ever had to complain? Let me know, i have many more stories!
xoxo

*I joke, i wouldn't have died, just got food poisoning type illness for a few hours!

No7 will do great things...

Hi there! It's been a while, i've been meaning to do this post for a while but I wasn't allowed to talk about it!
So I recently got invited to a No7 event held in Telford and I was super excited as I felt some serious news was going to be thrown at me. Oh how right I was.

First of all upon arrival and signing in we were all sat down for refreshments, being allergic to life, I could only drink bottled water, but they didn't cheap out there. It was ice cold gorgeous yummy water. Yeah, I called this water yummy. But it was. After enjoying my aqua we all went into what I can only describe as an ARENA. Ha it was huge!! There were 4 or 5 of those big screens up which again got me super excited. I love No7, it's an amazing brand and I was hoping a big announcment was instore! So when the presentation started there were all the big names there. The directors of the brand, the designers then....Lisa Eldridge walks up. Oh I was dying a bit! Some people I was with said they didn't like how she name dropped, but to me I love that. If I had hung out with Kate Winslet i'd be telling the person that sells me my morning paper, like she's only human! Plus if she had just remained secretive you'd be dying to know who she was on about! She spoke about how she got into the brand and how much she loves it and just having someone like Lisa behind the brand will sell itself really.

She spoke for a while and I stared at her with my mouth wide open then recieved the biggest applause from everyone, little did we know we'd be clapping so much within the next hour!
Everything the directors/designers were saying was getting everyone super excited! You may have noticed No7 is repacking their great products and introducing new lines such as the beautiful skin products, well everything will be getting a make over! Everything will match and I can't say too much about it but let me tell you this. You will want this on your dressing table and you will proudly pull this out of your make up bag! No7 has really upped its game!
They have some amazing ideas which will be rolled out into stores starting now, some you'll see in August and such but you keep checking your boots! Keep an eye out for everything ;)
Oooh I feel like I'm being super sneeky, but I don't want to spoil the surprise!
Everything will be so much cuter down to the packaging, the stands the uniform, it'll all look so chic. MAC Who?? Oh I kid, I do love my MAC but No7 is so upping their game. We were lucky enough to get a look around at all theyre new products, ideas, stands uniform and after my big "i need a vegan meal" mix up where I was handed eggy milky salad one after the other, we went into another room where we were able to asked questions and given a nice little goody bag!!!
I cannot show you the goody bag (im sorry!!) as it's got the new packaging and I don't wanna get into trouble! But I can tell you what I got!
I got a Beautiful Skin Cleanser for Normal/Dry skin £9.00

Compact Pressed Powder in shade Translucent £12.00
Sheer Temptation Lipstick in shade Bewitched £10.00

Body Bliss Body Wash Price Unknown
Oh there was one more but I cannot remember right now! I love what I was given, they didn't have to give anything so all in all, good haul!

I loved the day I spent with everyone at the No7 event. I left there with so much knowlege of the brand and excitement for everything they have planned. Theyre an amazing brand who has been going strong for I think it's around 100 years. They're super smart and a nice affordable premium brand. I cannot wait till you all see the stuff they have planned so we can all chat about it!
Did you go to the event!? What did you think?
Do you already use No7?? Tell me :)!!

TaTa!!

Lush Haul

I consider myself a bath person, but when I'm in the bath, I get rather bored. I try candles, magazines, music but nothing makes me want to stay in the bath longer than 10 minutes. However, one thing that keeps me going in there is a good bath bomb. But not just any bath bomb it has to be a lush bath bomb!
I am a complete lush fiend! I cannot step foot in there without spending half a days wage. These were kindly treated to me by my wonderful boyfriend Adam, but if I had been buying, it sure would have been more!
So I went shopping in Milton Keynes to get these beauties and as I greedily put items in my basket I noticed how I always go for the same ones!

The Comforter £4.15 each This is a glorious little thing. I say little, it's actually HUGE! The price seems a little steep but it goes so far! I get 4 baths out of this, sometimes more or less depending how much TLC I need! It also smells so devine! The website says its blackcurrent and other berries, but to me it's like bubblegum or something as cheeky smelling. It's such an edible fragrance I may have tried to eat the bubbles to test if it really tasted like the smell - it doesn't, yuck!
Other than the gorgeous smell, the main reason I keep buying is the quality of the bubbles it produces! I always remember watching rugrats and their baths were SO bubbly I was so jealous that mine was just pitiful bubbles, this is actually like swimming in bubbles, it's so lovely! I think everyone should try this or at least go into a lush and smell it, if that doesn't tickle you, how about the fact that it turns your bath water bright pink? Sold!

Dragons Egg £3.15 each So this is the second one i've purchased and this time I just was not in love with it! I seems like I should love it, I mean it's gorgeous, it's big, its got colourful bits and a glitter centre! I should have loved it, but even with this bathbomb I just wanted to escape the bath. It smelt like citrus but all I could smell was lemon which at night in a candle lit bath was a bit odd for me. It was great when the popping candy starting exploding! It hits against the bath and makes a really loud ping noise! The colourful discs floating around was fun too, however, it just wasn't enough to make me fall in love. Then when it got to the glitter centre it was a nightmare! I didn't notice how glittery my boyfriend and I was in the bath, but when we were in bed or going to work the next day, it was EVERYWHERE. I wouldn't mind so much, but he hated the stuff! This makes me think that really it's just me who was in a funny mood and than it's not Dragon Eggs fault, but I now remember not being too fussed first time round! I would reccomend this really, I just don't think its me! A+ for originality, again Popping candy in a bathbomb? Wow!

Dorothy £2.99 each. This little fellow is Dorothy. It's (She?) is an amazingly bright bubble bar! I picked this beauty up because it smells like the figs and leaves soap which is one of my favs! Also, at £2.99 for a bubble bar! That's cheap for Lush, straight into my basket it went! I tried this one I think either the day I got it. I was just so excited. If you're not familiar with the Figs and Leaves smell, it's described as floral on their site, but to me it really is your lovely "soap" smell. Can I just point out how funny i find it that wayyy back when, soap smelt like soap, then someone came and made it smell all rosey and stuff so we're in constant search for that "soap" smelling soap! Unless that is just me. Ohwell not the time for irony! I loved the smell in the shop because I imagined sitting in the bath surrounded by this lovely clean smell and brightly coloured water and I just could not wait.
Photo from my Instagram
So I crumbled it up under warm water as you do and I just got super exited, it looks like the food in the movie Hook! You know the best part where they're imagining all the food?! If you haven't seen it, go watch it now! This was just getting better and better! Until i came back to my tub expecting a mountain of bubbles but was greeted by just a scantaly clad blue water with a sprinkling of bubbles! Dissapointing! However, I got in and could barely smell the beautiful scent I was expecing! As I said, baths rarely keep my attention long so within minutes, I was out and pulling the plug on my £2.99 fail whale. Sigh. I couldn't even smell it on my skin after! I could have cried (well no, but hurruh for drama!) This bath bomb is typical of some silly boys I know, they look great, seem promising but when you're naked they let you down! Oh I shouldn't have said that, I'm completly joking, I was gonna say a different joke but that just came out, Naughty!
SO you might really like this, It wasn't the worst I just expected more! My friend had it and had no complaints, but being quite tricky to please, it wasn't The One! This might sneak its way back into my wicker lush basket soon because that's just the kinda gal I am!

Cupcake £5.75 for 75ml Ooooh Cupcake, my real weakness! This is a mask you must try! This is the one I always debate about buying each time I see it in it's little silver bowl looking yummy. I have quite alright skin, it can be sensitive to the most silly things but I don't really have spots only stubbon blackheads so I don't really need this other than how gorgeous is smells, looks and how I just like to put on a mask sometimes and be girlie, Okay! Now i'll be the first to admit it's a teeny container, but you get so much in there and as theyre fresh, you need to really use it within days! So I'm not too sure what this is supposed to achive, lovely smooth skin I suspect but my boyfriend has the few huge spot (i'm a spot popping fiend so I do love this) and this mask (sorry to be gross) popped his spots. Like we put it on our faces (yes my boyfriend did too!) and when I looked it had opened his pores so much they'd popped the few blemishes he had! Madness! That really impressed me as it must actually work by clearing out pores!!
I would love to put the photos of us both together on here, but i'll let the boy keep his dignity shall i?! Can I also add how Lush has a recycling scheme with these pots, once emptied, i believe you take 5 back to the store for recycling and they give you a brand spanking new pot of your choice for FREE!  Lush... You've done it again. So perfect !
8/10
I've given this an 8 because it smells so good but it tasted horrible when I licked some. Don't tempt me so much lush!

Twilight £3.15 each. Oh I saved the best till last didn't I!? Lavender haters, don't write this one off yet. I have always loathed Lavender. My dear mother loves the stuff, I could never get my head round it. Those little purple petals to me means headache migraine hell! So imagine how shocked I was when I fell in love with this amazing scent only to be told it's lavenders baby. Lavender must have got cozy with Zac Efron for it to get this yummy! I've always wanted to love Lavender (could I say Lavender any more? oops just did!) I've loved how it has soothing abilities and can send you to sleep all peacefully and as a night owl, i need something like that in my life. Calm me down when the clock hits 10 not get me kicking! So I had a few of these in my time before I fell in love with it, Ive always loved its smell but recently I had a stressful time with an old buddy of mine, so I popped one of these in the bath (the colours, oh god the colours!) and I chatted to my boyfriend for almost an hour about what was bothering me. After I got out i felt like a weight was lifted. I assume it was all the talking but I highly think it was Twilight. Oh you. It just kept me calm and soothed and dreamy. When I crawled into bed I could still smell it and it sent me right off into the land of nod. Brilliant! When you put it into the water it's like a cool hue sunset! It has lavender then blue then pink layers then in the final layer it has just the right amount of glitter! Enough to maybe leave some specks on you which will make any sane person smile when they see, but not crazy amounts that ends up on your face for years! Oh I'm wanting to have a twilight bath right now! If you've got a rough patch in your life or have someone in need of some cheering up, I suggest this! It's a lovely little thing which holds great powers! But if they're a Harry Potter fan, just don't tell them the name....
10/10

So that's all for now. Since I got these a month or so ago I've been to another lush and only got myself Twilight bombs!! So theres a result! I may leave my next haul for a month as I do spend too much money in Lush, but come Julys payday there will be a riot!
Tell me everyone, did you even get through all that? What did you think of these products if you've tried them!? Lush forever yes?
Speak soon!
xoxo
