My current little loves

Hi beauties!

This is an odd post! It's nit a piece on what beauty products I love or anything like that, it's a little mixture!!

So away we go:

My cat Jasmine is so adorable, she's paticular about when and where she's soppy and it fools a lot of people into thinking she's a meanie but really shes a big softie, she just doesn't like to be bothered a lot of the time. We are cut from the same mold and I think thats why we get on so well
*meow*

Health Kick! I'm trying to lose some weight for summer, I want to be able to wear anything without worrying about my flabby arms and such. So I've been using My Fitness Pal (such a good app) and been basically eating grilled chicken and a hell load of veg every night, it's delicious!!

Unfortunatly, I've now had to cut these out, but woah, they're amazing!
I prefer the Orange but I could just polish off can after can of them, these are very yummy but so sickly sour I can steady myself more!
It's a shame they can only be bought in 6 packs because I just want to buy one as a cheeky treat but if I buy 6.... i will drink 6 *blush*

Wiiiiine! Woah when did I become a wino?
I'm a cocktail girl myself, my girls love their wine and I could always take it or leave it, but recently, I've just been wanting a nice glass of wine! Is it because Summers so so near or have I turned into a grown up?

Watching my cat instead of TV.
This is my other little lady, she's called Molly and shes as mad as a box of frogs. She's a bit pshyco and a bit troubled but also very sweet and teeeeny tiny. She's so clumsy bless her that it's more fun to watch her prowl sometimes than watch TV cause she's bound to fall or something then give you an embarrassed look! hahah!

Yummy! Pigs ears!!!
I saw these in tesco and got so incredibly grossed out I had to take a photo!
Pigs ears? Hey, I'm all for using every part of the animal you staughter you know, but this was just something else!
Poor little pups.

New mascara day, this is always a good time, I love ripping open new packaging and it being all fresh and new, can't describe the love.

Models Own Polishes!!! I love the headkandi range, my favorites are the bright orange here and the bright red on my nails there so I thought the blue would be great... wrong. If you want me to go in to it let me know, but honestly, it was a disappointment. However, the other 2 colours are to dieeee for!

I rediscovered my Mac Viva Glam Gaga lipstick!
It was date night and I had really heavy eye makeup on and I thought my usual lipstick wouldn't go so I trolled through my lipstick bag and found this and thought "Ooh would it go though"
and wow. It was JUST the colour I needed.
Oh you.

Oh letters, you're so drunk. Go home letters. Go home.

A photo taken after our valentines dinner, we were stuffed, fat and dying. Aw cute.

Yay! I love loving things.

Hope you all have a great weekend!!

What is up with Essie nail colours??

Essie, a great nail brand, I adore the unusual colours, the sassy names and how theyre the only polish that lasts more than one day without a chip on my flaky as hell nails! Out of all my polishes one of my most loved colours is of course, Fiji, I love the milky pink hue and the creamy consistency
I don't own any other colours as I find theyre a tad on the pricey side!
I have a salon services card so I get my hands on OPI nail colours for about £6, Essie colours are £7.99 so i'm afraid OPI wins with me.
But at work, my desk is right infront of the Essie stand so I do catch myself looking at them quite a bit and one thing I thought is the title; "What is up with the Essie colours?"

Now I've noticed this a lot, when we first got the stand in, Fiji was clearly a pink nail colour. If you asked anybody what colour it was, they would say pink. Then we started getting in the Fiji as I know it now, a milky white that is just ever so slightly pink. To me thats what makes it so amazing,  how it's barely pink. But for a while it was super confusing as if you held them next to eachother, they looked like complete different polishes!

Another example:
Both are number 17 polishes Muchi, Muchi, the left is a pale pink almost peachy colour polish, the one on the right (which I believe to be the true colour) is a thin pink colour.
They're close, but do we all agree they're not the same?
To most people they might not notice a difference (or care),  but as we all love our polishes and rebuy them constantly I feel we would.
Say for instance you loved the one on the right and it was your staple polish and you went to rebuy and they only had the peach hue, would you notice? I feel we would, it wouldn't be earth shattering but it would be an annoyance and one of those "why do they have to always change it" moments.

I've noticed this with some other colours over the past months but these are the only ones I could currently find to take some photos of!

I don't think they're old batches which are slightly sun altered as now we keep getting in the peach toned Muchi, Muchi, and the Milky Fiji, it wouldn't make sense for them to be more pink to start with, I don't even know, it's confusing!

Do you know what's going on with Essie? Is this something you have noticed?
Please do let me know below, I'm amazed by the magic of the changing Essie polishes!!

I hope everyone has a fab week!!

Models Own Mirror Ball Collection

Hi everyone!! I am so excited to be writing this as I fell in love with this collection from the word GLITTER!!
Models Own has quickly become one of my favourite nail varnish brands, they're so fun and different! I recently been seeing a lot about these being in high demand so when I saw them, they were mine!!
I used to wear glitter all year round but recently it feels too wintery and christmasy so i've been sticking to block colours, but now it's coat weather, the glitter is back, and what better glitter than colourful chunky glitter - amazing.
Disco Ingerno, a gold glitter with green specks, Christmas Party nails!

Freak Out! Blue toned chunky glitter, ice skating in Hyde park nails!!

Boogie Nights! My new years eve nails!

Hot Stuff, who needs a reason, it's amazing nails!

So I think i will need to do a base colour underneath these, like maybe a gold colour anyway as its quite see through, but i think once I do that this will look so cute!

I found the best way to cover is to literally blob the chunks on then when it goes dry on top but still wet underweight (do you know what I mean?) I press the glitter down so it flattens it!

This just would not cover!!! It looks so sloppy haha!
Oh gosh, best till last!! its soooo pretty!!!

Unfortunatly i went swimming after when I thought they were dry and ... they weren't so the glitter just broke off one nail at a time, boo!
I'm going to try these again when I have a bit more time and i'm not so excited as i believe thats the reason they didn't work so well!!

I really think these will fly off the shelves, they're so cute and feel christmasy that they sell themselves!!

What do you think? Have you tried these yet??? Do you think you'll be getting them?
xoxo

in love!!!

Golly Gosh OPI Spotted!!

WOW! Have we all seen this already? Am I just super duper late? This is the OPI Spotted topcoat, I hear it was a part of the Spider Man collection in France, the rest of the world got a shatter (snore)  and they got that? How is this fair, I don't know!

This is much better than the shatters in my opinion! I adored shatter when it came out, it seemed fun and I did do a few cool effects with it :

That being my favourite, then BAM, as quickly as it came, it went. I officially hated crackle on my nails.
It's an odd look for me. Others still do it and that's so fine, but I just do not like that, so please if you're scrolling down with little crackled nails please do not pout! This is just my opinion for me!

But back to the subject at hand (har de har) the spotted top coat looks so fun, you could do all sorts, I think black would be lovely for a space design but other colours would just be so cute too! Pinks!!!!

I'm hoping this comes out in the UK soon and around the world as it would be nice to see lots of fun nail art using it! It's avalable on Ebay if you are willing to splash out £50 for it. No, I am not joking!!!

So what do you think of the new spotted topcoat? Or do you hate these pre made effects? I guess some hardcore nail art fiends may think its lazy? I think its amazing and sciencey!
How about you?
I'm excited to try it!! Whatever will they come out with next?

xoxoxo

Presents!!

So this is what I got today in the post, I got them all on great deals online so i'm super excited!!
I'll start with what I got my friend Liz for her 22nd birthday on 5th November, I know! so prepared!!
What I'm planning to do is just get lots of little things for her to play with and get her excited about make up, I couldnt think of one thing to ger her so it seems perfect! I want to put them all together in a sweet box. The great thing is that it will all be affordable and hopefully everything that she will use!!
So i'll begin!

These are false lashes which give such a lovely natural but dramatic look, i got these from work for a couple pounds but i got a few packets and i could not put them on, but she's quite good at putting on lashes, she does it all the time, so hopefully she'll like these!

This I got online (RRP £5.99!) and it looked more pink shimmer but when it arrived it's more cherry shimmer, still lovely though I really want it!!

I knew she used the purple false lash of this range so I originally got her that but she was round the other night and I saw it in her bag with a yellow lid, when asked about it she said the purple one was rubbish so she swapped the brush with her old collosal one, i was like eeek! so I went back and exchanged it! luckily it's in packaging! this cost like £5 with my store discount!
Next is this! I'm so excited about them!

Benefit Shimmer Shakers! At work I saw these and thought they were just regular shimmer pots with an expensive name, thus expensive price tag, but I got these for a reduced price rather than the £27 before and oh gosh I love them!
Here are the colours;

They're so lovely, I swatched some on my hands (just a tiny bit as it's a gift) and even a tiny bit did loads! they're so pigmented and the glitter is noticable but without being overbearing!

I adore them!!!

This cost me like £10 back at christmas time, I smelt it once at work and liked it so when I saw this going for cheap I bought it for myself, but i just never used it! So luckily it was still in the box so she can get much more use from it than me!

So thats what I've got her for her birthday, last year I got her a digital camera so this year is nothing compaired!

Next on with Christmas presents! I know! So prepared ;D!!

I also got these for a great deal online,

They cost me like £8.50 each for 100ml ! AMAZING. I originally wanted to get Liz this (fairy dust) 50ml which was going for £10 and Jaz Britney Spears Curious 50ml for £10 thus spending £20 all together, but 2 days with them in my basket waiting for payday, i returned to the site and the prices had changed, curious was up to like £15 and the 50ml fairy dust was £10! So i'd be spending much more than I wanted so I thought "hmm i'll just buy two fairy dusts for £20 together" then when I clicked on the fairy dust it said "more like this" and the 100ml was £8.50... cheaper than the 50ml! So I ordered two :)
I love the packaging, unfortunatly I cant take it out of the box as it's a gift but it's a pretty simplistic classic bottle :)
The perfume on the right is the packaging without the sleeve :)

I Love buying gifts and I hope they both love their presents!!!!
What do you think?
