Cher Lloyd EDT

Righteo, Okay, my first thought too was "Oh really?" but hear me out. I do like a bit of Cher Lloyd. I don't like X factor shows and ones like it but I liked her. From her first audition I was like "her, she's alright" So I then followed her through till the end. Once she went. I stopped watching. I think she's unique and it doesn't come across as false, she's young and seems like shes having a whale of a time. She can wear the weirdest clothes and it suits her, but then put on a cute knit cardigan and be someone else. Not many people can actually do that. Her voice can be annoying but again, her music is fun. Anything that gives me a fun beat whilst i'm doing some housework or walking to work gets a big tick from me.
But Miss Lloyd. This bottle is a disaster. I like the box, very Justin Bieber Somedayesque. But as someone who tries to prove herself to people a lot I feel the bottle is seriously lacking. Maybe if it was see through glass rather than pink plastic, therefore it's almost a bit tacky but also interesting at the same time. I realise I am not Chers demographic. As a 21 year old she's not even creating this for me but for about 13 - 17 year olds who look up to her so I shouldn't be too surprised its not to my taste. But Cher has a lot to prove people.
There are no notes available as of yet but I do guess it will smell like Britney Spears Fantasy. Sugary sweet, cupcakes and all that jazz! But with this she is no doubt starting a chain reaction. I bet this will sell like hot cakes come christmas which will only lead her to creating more and with that as she matures so will her fragrances and everyone will look back and go "OH CHER WHAT WAS THAT BOTTLE" and she'll go "Oh i know I know!" Just remember, Cheryl Cole was once that corn rowed little hooligan and now she's our nations sweet heart! Anything can happen!

Moaning aside, I will take a smell of this when I see it and I actually think it's a good move for her.

TURN YOUR SWAG ON CHER..

sorry

toodles

Priorities.

Perfume & make up is my thing.
I've never been good at anything else nor been into anything as much. I'm a collector really, just not one who's collecting old models of steam trains or who has books of stamps. I collect perfume and beauty items and once I start I get pretty into it. Once I bought a Vera Wang Princess fragrance on a whim as it was half price, I had never been that much into the Princess collections before that, I thought the bottles were charming and they smelt nice enough but once I bought that one little heart shaped bottle I got carried away and within 2 months or something silly I had them all. All 50mls too... they have to all be the same size, duh. Then it became Celebrity fragrances, I, of course, had to get all of the Britney Spears perfumes as I already had quite a few and I do love Britney but this doesn't explain why I went and blind bought the ones I knew I would not like?! I did this with actually quite a few celebrites. All Paris Hiltons, Hilary duffs (One in each size) and lets not start with my pallette addiction and mac lipsticks. I have a £26 dior lipstick I bought for just a night out and I never even wear it nor actually like the colour! It's ridiculous.

I feel that now I'm actually starting to care less. I've broken up collections, given some away just because It was just plain stupid having all my money tied up in fancy scented liquid. Now I still love perfumes but I NEVER run out of them which I would almost like as it would show thats its worth me having them and that they're being used, you know?

Well there are two new perfumes coming out by D&G and Boss and I would LOVE them. I mean real love. I would fight over which one I want to wear that day but I feel I can't buy them as I already have enough perfumes. I cannot justify having any more. Buying a perfume is a luxury, I've come to expect them and be comfortable having £2000 worth of perfume at my disposal. I want them to remain a luxury. I've realised life isn't about having a more than enough perfume to last me a decade. I would rather my money went somewhere much better like days out with my man or savings (!!). At the end of the day perfumes are lovely and they take up so much of my daily thoughts and i will always be excited about new releases and "what perfume do I wear today" but it really doesn't matter at all, not really matter!
I have ones that mean the world to me but the rest I have to just say goodbye to. I would be lying if I said it's easy and that I haven't actually got emotional because I have. As I said perfumes are my thing and I've realised I cant carry on buying them willy nilly. But when I do get one maybe once a year it will mean more. Like the ones I know I cant throw away because I HAD waited so long for them (Taylor Swift Wonderstruck) or because they hold an important memory for me (Viva La Juicy) or maybe just ones that are now impossible to find (Original EDP Miss Dior Cherie). I'm totally rambaling. But I'm glad I've realised this now. I got very much carried away but I figured out what really matters and I'm sure fragrance isn't it.

Thank you so much for reading this dolls, I will do a fragrance collection soon and explain my loves for them as the ones I have left really do mean something.

Next up is finding the strength to throw away empty fragrance bottles from years ago. EEEK!
Do you get overly attatched to things like this?
Whats your thing?!
Let me know :)

Crafty Creative Claire

Image taken by me

Hi there. So as the title implies, I've been getting quite crafty! Some may say cheap but others will back me up thinking it's quite the smart move!
So I've been after a studded phone case for a while but as my funds are usually drained I could never seem to part with £15 for ones I saw on ebay. A few months went by and I pondered more and more until I thought
"right, well I could definitely just make that for a few quid"
So make that I did!
I ordered a blank white phone case and some studs and glue and I waited. I waited and waited and almost exploded when both landed on my doorstep a month later! It took so long cause I convinced myself i was willing to wait for the long delivery date as i was getting it for china prices. It always sucks me in!
So I took all my crafts around to my boyfriends house and got down and dirty whilst him and his brother bored me with their fifa game. Le sigh!

Sadly, it didn't last long as it was so quick and easy to make!! I had a load of fun actually doing it and getting my fingers super glued together (got to be done really) and getting excited seeing it all come together.
When I put it on my phone I found myself constantly looking at it. I willed people to text me so I would have reason to hold my phone up and have another cheeky look at it. Like when you've just done your nails and you touch everything really elegantly - oh how embarrassing!

So this phone case cost me less than £3 to make, I had fun whilst doing it and I'm bloody proud!
Now I think i've caught the bug of what else can I do myself! I feel like a designer now, I can do anything Hurrah!
Or maybe I'll just stick to gluing pretty things onto plain things till I get a bit more inspired, maybe thats for the best!

I'm terribly sorry this sounds all muddled. I should have been fast a bobo's a while ago.
So i've got some more things planned to decorate soon so no doubt i'll update on that - if it looks good that is!

I hope you're all well!
Toodles!

NEW! Bourjois Black Jack Mascara!!

Image taken by me.

Bourjois Volume Clubbing Black Jack Mascara £7.99

So! Recently because of my job, I was lucky enough to get my hands on this little gem! I bought this the day it came in and I'm so glad I did! Opening up the silly box it came in I was amazed when these fell into my lap. At first, I loved the packaging, now... I'm not too sure. I always love new stuff because well.. it looks new. Bourjois are doing this whole blackjack theme right now with gold packaging. They have their chocolate bronzers which are turning blackjack (I hope only temp - I love those!) they have glitter body sprays in this range and of course, this mascara! I've been wanting to try the clubbing mascaras for a while but I've always been distracted by others so when this came in, it was mine!! My lashes are long and curly, so I only desire volume really and this does just that.
So the brush is like the other clubbing brushes, its a natural bristle one as opposed to plastic comb ones and its kinda only got bristles on the top and bottom which is good as it doesn't make the brush too big and difficult to work with as it allows you to build up the volume, hurrah!
Each time I use this I compare it to my volmume max also by bourjois which is just amazing and I would buy that over any mascara anyday, so what makes this mascara so special?

it's just a black mascara right?

view fullsided to see the glitter <3

No!! It's got itty bitty gold glitter in!! This sold it to me. I adore anything glittery so the fact I could have subtly glittery eyelashes which are also black and voluminous, perfect!!
Now there are no photos of this on as my camera isn't very good for close ups so sorry about that folks but it does make my eyelashes glittery! not as much as i hoped and somedays you see more than others, but its there!!!! It's such a great idea and does just add that little bit more sparkle into your everyday eye makeup!
I really rate this mascara, I wish the packaging was slightly classier or maybe just a bit more colourful but if thats all that is wrong with a product then thats okay with me! Of course I wished this was a bit more glittery but I realise not everyone likes glitter quite as much as I do, so I believe i'm just the exception to the rule.

So tell me! Are you excited about this, will you be getting it when it comes out. Bourjois is amazing am I right?
Anyhoos, ta ta!

UK Perfume Addicts UNITE!!

Hi there! I have what to me is super exciting! I work on a perfume counter and today in our cabinets we created some space for some new fragrances! Some are only new to the UK and we've heard about them from the States, but some are just brand spanking new!!
One I was super excited about and literally squeeled about is ....

  • TAYLOR SWIFT WONDERSTRUCK!!! I am a super duper Taylor fan & so love this perfume! It's her first fragrance and has this gorgeous hologram purple bottle with gold charms, something you have to see to fall in love with! My boyfriend Adam got me the 100ml Wonderstruck for Christmas and it cost £70 or something silly but it's being sold in my store for £20 - 30ml and £29.50 - 50ml! Super cheap! I'm so excited for that one! I love the tea notes and the raspberry, it's quite different but still a lovely fruity scent! I hope having it in my store doesn't make me lose my love for it!!

  • Katy Perry Meow. Her second fragrance and follow up to Purr! It's an adorable bottle and must have for cat lovers! The notes are supposed to be vanillery and yummy! I haven't smelt it yet but I so need this in my life!

  • The Ralph Lauren Big Pony collection for women! Now, you're all super girlie right? did your eyes go straight to miss pinky too? Yeah I fell in love with the colours on #2 straight away and when I smelt it it is my total favourite from the quad! #1 smells almost manly, it's the sport one so I guess that's about right considering it's usually only mens fragrances that go sporty! Not my fav! #2 was to die for. Fruity and girlie and yum! It really did not last on me, half an hour at most so I don't see this in my future, but it is much like Taylor's perfume! Still as I said, the colours! so good! #3 we haven't actually got in yet, its meant to be a yellow floral which to me is odd. I've heard of white florals and just normal florals like rose, but never yellow which is leaving me in suspense, I NEED TO SMELL IT NOW! (sorry, Verucca Salt moment) #4 is a second favourite! Described as being sensual I do agree, it's girlie but not so obviously candy strawberry smelling! Good for someone who still wants to smell yummy but in a more mature dramatic way maybe!! So far I like 2/3 I've smelt and theres still hope with the yellow one so yay! I really wanted to love these as I love how preppy Ralph Lauren is and a part of me would love to be a SoCo Holliser prep! So if I had one of these in my life maybe this Hertfordshire girl could live out her dream! ahhah!
  • DKNY I ♥ quad. Le sigh!! Donna Karan, if you stopped releasing Limited Edition after Limited Edition after Be Delicious I might one day get excited over this! I mean, it's cute enough yes, but really? You JUST released the Summer Macaroon Be Delicious. Which we only got ONE delivery of to sell. What?! Random! But to be fair, I don't even think the Be Delicious' are exciting anyway, the whole apple thing is lost on me, I dislike the original, I dislike the night, I dislike the pink, the red, the Limited Edition Pop Art bottle ... I could so go on. It really annoys me. I did like the Golden Delicious... but not enough, it was just the best of a bad bunch really! I really think she's like clutching at straws! Instead of taking her time making something amazing she's like churning out something that mildly sells well. So she's doing good instead of doing great and this is why she is not a top designer to me. I don't think her perfumes are anything of a cult brand and soon the Be Delicious fans will get bored and find something new and special to get excited over. Sorry about the harsh review! GOSH moaner!! I hope I like these and it will change my mind! there is a London (pink) Rio (blue) NY (green) & Paris (turquoise) bottle which to me is very Escada (rocking rio made me think of it) and Harajuku lovers! We'll see eh? We'll see indeed....
  • Lady Gaga Fame. I have never rolled my eyes but been so excited at the same time. I'm so ashamed. I dislike Gaga as a person, I feel she's a try hard and should just be herself. So when I heard her say "oh it will smell like my own blood and semen" I'm thinking dear, you are the only one who loves you enough to wanna smell your own blood. Get out. But I am curious. The bottle is going to annoy me if customers want to smell it. I'm going to hate to love it if that's the case but I have a feeling it will smell awful. The notes are.... odd... Bella donna is its main note... this is the most toxic plant.... seriously.. any quick google search tells you that it smells awful! The berries however are sweet to taste, but yes, will kill you. Belladonna is only used in one other fragrance, one called FREAK. If that's not a sign I do not know what is. I'll again have to wait and see. But .... Oh I just don't know anymore Gaga. I miss your hairbow.
  • Kylie Minogue Music Box. I could cry.... I was so looking forward to this! The bottle was beyond cute when I saw it. The idea was so different and the notes looked yum, Strawberry and raspberry! So when I saw it in my delivery on Thursday morning I literally yelped and grabbed the tester box ribbing it open then I said "Oh..." when this cheap feeling thing fell out.... the lid is plastic for a start, like an odd yellow gold colour.. okay... so is the sprayer! Eugh! I hate plastic sprayers! As I smelt it my hoped faded more. Where were the notes? I could not pick a single one out?! It just smelt like a blur of cheap "notes". I can't explain it. I tried it after half an hour... no development. It stuck around a while, but I'm not sure what it was sticking around for. I had no interest in it. It can wait all day. it can wait till it spawns a flanker called "music box STAR" or something and actually comes with notes so then maybe i will like it. Hate the bottle, hate the smell love the idea. SHAME.
Others include
Justin Bieber Girlfriend
Especially Escada Delicate Notes
Dior Addict (L)Eau Fraiche (M) Eau Sensualle (R)Original Addict

Amy Childs (Sorry there is no bottle info IE photo or name) she has a perfume. Yes it's embarrassing. Yes I'm Excited.
Marc Jacobs Dot (sigh)

Now that's all I can think of for now! I suppose there's a few more but these are ones I feel are more exciting! What do you think? Sorry about my moaning!! You excited for any??
Let me know I love to hear what you think!!!
With Love

No7 will do great things...

Hi there! It's been a while, i've been meaning to do this post for a while but I wasn't allowed to talk about it!
So I recently got invited to a No7 event held in Telford and I was super excited as I felt some serious news was going to be thrown at me. Oh how right I was.

First of all upon arrival and signing in we were all sat down for refreshments, being allergic to life, I could only drink bottled water, but they didn't cheap out there. It was ice cold gorgeous yummy water. Yeah, I called this water yummy. But it was. After enjoying my aqua we all went into what I can only describe as an ARENA. Ha it was huge!! There were 4 or 5 of those big screens up which again got me super excited. I love No7, it's an amazing brand and I was hoping a big announcment was instore! So when the presentation started there were all the big names there. The directors of the brand, the designers then....Lisa Eldridge walks up. Oh I was dying a bit! Some people I was with said they didn't like how she name dropped, but to me I love that. If I had hung out with Kate Winslet i'd be telling the person that sells me my morning paper, like she's only human! Plus if she had just remained secretive you'd be dying to know who she was on about! She spoke about how she got into the brand and how much she loves it and just having someone like Lisa behind the brand will sell itself really.

She spoke for a while and I stared at her with my mouth wide open then recieved the biggest applause from everyone, little did we know we'd be clapping so much within the next hour!
Everything the directors/designers were saying was getting everyone super excited! You may have noticed No7 is repacking their great products and introducing new lines such as the beautiful skin products, well everything will be getting a make over! Everything will match and I can't say too much about it but let me tell you this. You will want this on your dressing table and you will proudly pull this out of your make up bag! No7 has really upped its game!
They have some amazing ideas which will be rolled out into stores starting now, some you'll see in August and such but you keep checking your boots! Keep an eye out for everything ;)
Oooh I feel like I'm being super sneeky, but I don't want to spoil the surprise!
Everything will be so much cuter down to the packaging, the stands the uniform, it'll all look so chic. MAC Who?? Oh I kid, I do love my MAC but No7 is so upping their game. We were lucky enough to get a look around at all theyre new products, ideas, stands uniform and after my big "i need a vegan meal" mix up where I was handed eggy milky salad one after the other, we went into another room where we were able to asked questions and given a nice little goody bag!!!
I cannot show you the goody bag (im sorry!!) as it's got the new packaging and I don't wanna get into trouble! But I can tell you what I got!
I got a Beautiful Skin Cleanser for Normal/Dry skin £9.00

Compact Pressed Powder in shade Translucent £12.00
Sheer Temptation Lipstick in shade Bewitched £10.00

Body Bliss Body Wash Price Unknown
Oh there was one more but I cannot remember right now! I love what I was given, they didn't have to give anything so all in all, good haul!

I loved the day I spent with everyone at the No7 event. I left there with so much knowlege of the brand and excitement for everything they have planned. Theyre an amazing brand who has been going strong for I think it's around 100 years. They're super smart and a nice affordable premium brand. I cannot wait till you all see the stuff they have planned so we can all chat about it!
Did you go to the event!? What did you think?
Do you already use No7?? Tell me :)!!

TaTa!!

Lush Haul

I consider myself a bath person, but when I'm in the bath, I get rather bored. I try candles, magazines, music but nothing makes me want to stay in the bath longer than 10 minutes. However, one thing that keeps me going in there is a good bath bomb. But not just any bath bomb it has to be a lush bath bomb!
I am a complete lush fiend! I cannot step foot in there without spending half a days wage. These were kindly treated to me by my wonderful boyfriend Adam, but if I had been buying, it sure would have been more!
So I went shopping in Milton Keynes to get these beauties and as I greedily put items in my basket I noticed how I always go for the same ones!

Image taken from Lush website

The Comforter £4.15 each This is a glorious little thing. I say little, it's actually HUGE! The price seems a little steep but it goes so far! I get 4 baths out of this, sometimes more or less depending how much TLC I need! It also smells so devine! The website says its blackcurrent and other berries, but to me it's like bubblegum or something as cheeky smelling. It's such an edible fragrance I may have tried to eat the bubbles to test if it really tasted like the smell - it doesn't, yuck!
Other than the gorgeous smell, the main reason I keep buying is the quality of the bubbles it produces! I always remember watching rugrats and their baths were SO bubbly I was so jealous that mine was just pitiful bubbles, this is actually like swimming in bubbles, it's so lovely! I think everyone should try this or at least go into a lush and smell it, if that doesn't tickle you, how about the fact that it turns your bath water bright pink? Sold!

Dragons Egg £3.15 each So this is the second one i've purchased and this time I just was not in love with it! I seems like I should love it, I mean it's gorgeous, it's big, its got colourful bits and a glitter centre! I should have loved it, but even with this bathbomb I just wanted to escape the bath. It smelt like citrus but all I could smell was lemon which at night in a candle lit bath was a bit odd for me. It was great when the popping candy starting exploding! It hits against the bath and makes a really loud ping noise! The colourful discs floating around was fun too, however, it just wasn't enough to make me fall in love. Then when it got to the glitter centre it was a nightmare! I didn't notice how glittery my boyfriend and I was in the bath, but when we were in bed or going to work the next day, it was EVERYWHERE. I wouldn't mind so much, but he hated the stuff! This makes me think that really it's just me who was in a funny mood and than it's not Dragon Eggs fault, but I now remember not being too fussed first time round! I would reccomend this really, I just don't think its me! A+ for originality, again Popping candy in a bathbomb? Wow!

Dorothy £2.99 each. This little fellow is Dorothy. It's (She?) is an amazingly bright bubble bar! I picked this beauty up because it smells like the figs and leaves soap which is one of my favs! Also, at £2.99 for a bubble bar! That's cheap for Lush, straight into my basket it went! I tried this one I think either the day I got it. I was just so excited. If you're not familiar with the Figs and Leaves smell, it's described as floral on their site, but to me it really is your lovely "soap" smell. Can I just point out how funny i find it that wayyy back when, soap smelt like soap, then someone came and made it smell all rosey and stuff so we're in constant search for that "soap" smelling soap! Unless that is just me. Ohwell not the time for irony! I loved the smell in the shop because I imagined sitting in the bath surrounded by this lovely clean smell and brightly coloured water and I just could not wait.
Photo from my Instagram
So I crumbled it up under warm water as you do and I just got super exited, it looks like the food in the movie Hook! You know the best part where they're imagining all the food?! If you haven't seen it, go watch it now! This was just getting better and better! Until i came back to my tub expecting a mountain of bubbles but was greeted by just a scantaly clad blue water with a sprinkling of bubbles! Dissapointing! However, I got in and could barely smell the beautiful scent I was expecing! As I said, baths rarely keep my attention long so within minutes, I was out and pulling the plug on my £2.99 fail whale. Sigh. I couldn't even smell it on my skin after! I could have cried (well no, but hurruh for drama!) This bath bomb is typical of some silly boys I know, they look great, seem promising but when you're naked they let you down! Oh I shouldn't have said that, I'm completly joking, I was gonna say a different joke but that just came out, Naughty!
SO you might really like this, It wasn't the worst I just expected more! My friend had it and had no complaints, but being quite tricky to please, it wasn't The One! This might sneak its way back into my wicker lush basket soon because that's just the kinda gal I am!
5/10

Cupcake £5.75 for 75ml Ooooh Cupcake, my real weakness! This is a mask you must try! This is the one I always debate about buying each time I see it in it's little silver bowl looking yummy. I have quite alright skin, it can be sensitive to the most silly things but I don't really have spots only stubbon blackheads so I don't really need this other than how gorgeous is smells, looks and how I just like to put on a mask sometimes and be girlie, Okay! Now i'll be the first to admit it's a teeny container, but you get so much in there and as theyre fresh, you need to really use it within days! So I'm not too sure what this is supposed to achive, lovely smooth skin I suspect but my boyfriend has the few huge spot (i'm a spot popping fiend so I do love this) and this mask (sorry to be gross) popped his spots. Like we put it on our faces (yes my boyfriend did too!) and when I looked it had opened his pores so much they'd popped the few blemishes he had! Madness! That really impressed me as it must actually work by clearing out pores!!
I would love to put the photos of us both together on here, but i'll let the boy keep his dignity shall i?! Can I also add how Lush has a recycling scheme with these pots, once emptied, i believe you take 5 back to the store for recycling and they give you a brand spanking new pot of your choice for FREE!  Lush... You've done it again. So perfect !
8/10
I've given this an 8 because it smells so good but it tasted horrible when I licked some. Don't tempt me so much lush!

Twilight £3.15 each. Oh I saved the best till last didn't I!? Lavender haters, don't write this one off yet. I have always loathed Lavender. My dear mother loves the stuff, I could never get my head round it. Those little purple petals to me means headache migraine hell! So imagine how shocked I was when I fell in love with this amazing scent only to be told it's lavenders baby. Lavender must have got cozy with Zac Efron for it to get this yummy! I've always wanted to love Lavender (could I say Lavender any more? oops just did!) I've loved how it has soothing abilities and can send you to sleep all peacefully and as a night owl, i need something like that in my life. Calm me down when the clock hits 10 not get me kicking! So I had a few of these in my time before I fell in love with it, Ive always loved its smell but recently I had a stressful time with an old buddy of mine, so I popped one of these in the bath (the colours, oh god the colours!) and I chatted to my boyfriend for almost an hour about what was bothering me. After I got out i felt like a weight was lifted. I assume it was all the talking but I highly think it was Twilight. Oh you. It just kept me calm and soothed and dreamy. When I crawled into bed I could still smell it and it sent me right off into the land of nod. Brilliant! When you put it into the water it's like a cool hue sunset! It has lavender then blue then pink layers then in the final layer it has just the right amount of glitter! Enough to maybe leave some specks on you which will make any sane person smile when they see, but not crazy amounts that ends up on your face for years! Oh I'm wanting to have a twilight bath right now! If you've got a rough patch in your life or have someone in need of some cheering up, I suggest this! It's a lovely little thing which holds great powers! But if they're a Harry Potter fan, just don't tell them the name....
10/10

So that's all for now. Since I got these a month or so ago I've been to another lush and only got myself Twilight bombs!! So theres a result! I may leave my next haul for a month as I do spend too much money in Lush, but come Julys payday there will be a riot!
Tell me everyone, did you even get through all that? What did you think of these products if you've tried them!? Lush forever yes?
Speak soon!
